Xanax - What is it?
Xanax is part of the
benzodiazepines group of drugs.
Xanax is an anti-depressant that is also an anti-panic and
anti-anxiety. It does this by helping to ease tension and nerves by
slowing down the central nervous system.
Xanax works by affecting the part of the brain that controls emotions.
You can overdose on Xanax so be warned; talk to your doctor or pharmacist
before starting and don't suddenly stop taking the drugs before talking to your
doctor.
Symptoms include (but not limited too) unrealistic worry, illusions and
hopelessness.
